The reviews include praise and criticism, with links to the original writing. You don’t need an account to browse.
How to use the guide
- Search for a restaurant, place, cuisine or critic, or open the postcode and station search for nearby options.
- Compare the dated reviews and guide selections. A review link can include criticism; being listed doesn’t mean a recommendation.
- Check the restaurant’s menu, book through its linked website and plan your journey from your own starting point.
The sourced collection and the wider local-authority directory have different coverage. Register listings aren’t recommendations. Prices are guide bands, and booking links don’t show availability.

About the national directory
Venue names, addresses and types come from the Food Standards Agency and Food Standards Scotland local-authority register, under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Postcode lookup: postcodes.io. Search results are refreshed on request, with up to 15 minutes of caching.
Register listings aren’t food recommendations or proof that a venue is open. Hygiene scores aren’t used to rank the restaurants. Cuisine, price, photographs, website and booking links appear only where separately sourced. Some establishments lack coordinates and won’t appear in a radius search. Use Reviews & guide selections for the smaller, sourced editorial collection.
Filters
Filters can be combined. Prices are guide categories, not live menu prices. Travel times are road-model estimates without traffic; walking ranges use straight-line distances.
Gold: Michelin stars · Light green: Bib Gourmand · Dark green: other sourced places. Some locations use approximate postcode centres.
